International Congress of Roman Frontiers on Sapienza University

The International Congress “Frontier Museums and Frontier as Museums: The borders of the Roman Empire as places of interaction between peoples and cultures”, was organized by the Department of Classics of the Sapienza University at the Odeion Hall, the Museo dell’ Arte Classica, in Rome.

The main organizer of the Congress, Professor Emanuela Borgia, invited prominent researchers of the Roman frontiers and provinces working with universities and archaeological institutions of numerous countries from Europe, Asia, and Africa. Among the presenters was the Chairman of the Scientific Board of ICHA, Professor Ljuben Tevdovski, analyzing the cultural, political, and military aspects of the northern border of Roman Macedonia. Professor Tevdovski and Professor Borgia have presented together on various conferences and have coauthored two editions dedicated to classical and Mediterranean archaeology.
