The goals and visions of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, created to improve understanding and cooperative relations across cultures and religions, and followed by the Foundation Alliance of Civilizations are important global pathway for many of the initiatives of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology (ICHA). ICHA works closely with the Foundation Alliance of Civilizations in ethical and professional approach in protecting multiculturalism and plurality of heritage and identities.
The forum “The role of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) in addressing the global challenges of today and tomorrowā€¯, was organized by the Foundation Alliance of Civilizations on June 7, 2016 in Skopje, Macedonia.
Keynote speaker of the panel discussion was H.E Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, who emphasized the great importance of the meetings of young people, the cultural exchanges and the exploration of the heritage and identities of the foreign cultures and peoples.

Dr. Zoran Ilievski, Chairman of the Board of FAOC, Member of the Scientific Board and President of the Committee of Multiculturalism of the Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology, also addressed the forum and had the pleasure to present H.E Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The notable audience had also the pleasure to hear the perspective of the distinguished speakers: Dr. Numan Aruch, Professor at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU) and Dr. Darko Kostadinovski, Special Envoy of Macedonia to the UNAOC.
