THE MUSEUMS AND THE EUROINTEGRATION CHALLENGE
The European visions and prospects of the culture and cultural heritage in the Republic of Macedonia
An international conference dedicated to the European integration of Southeast Europe and prospects it provides to the Macedonian Museums, is organized on the occasion of the International Museum Day by the Capital City Museum in Skopje.
The conference will be co-chaired by the Director of the Museum and long-standing Member of the Scientific Board of ICHA, Dr. Ljuben Tevdovski, the First Chairman of the Scientific Board of ICHA, and founding member and long-standing President of Macedonian National Committee of the Blue Shield, Dr. Krste Bogoevski, the Board Member of the Balkan Museum Network and the Balkan Museums Access Group, Dr. Irena Ruzin, and the Secretary of the Macedonian National Committee of ICOM, Maja Cankulovska.
Zoran Janakiev, the President of the Macedonian Institute for Integration from Brussels, will moderate the panel dedicated on EU projects related to cultural and natural heritage sites, while Lisa Heilman Lomauro, artist, photographer and conservator from New York, will present her work on cultural exchanges and programs in Europe and Colombia.
Zoran Velkovski, from the cultural network Interkultura, will present the funding possibilities and different experiences on projects with the European Cultural Foundation, while the general manager of Fete de la musique Solstis and coordinator of the American Corner in Bitola Todor Ivanovski will elaborate on the local impact of the international cultural cooperation.
